Witnessing In-situ the Growth and Transformations of Galaxies at Cosmic Noon

Natascha Forster-Schreiber

I will discuss recent key progress in our knowledge about the formation and evolution of galaxies at redshift z ~ 1 - 3, with an emphasis on spatially-resolved kinematics and in connection with the star formation, stellar and cold gas content. I will highlight the implications for our understanding of physical processes that transform galaxies at these important epochs - from mass assembly to feedback - and will outline emerging challenges for the next decade.
