Recent scientific achievements and the strategic plan for 2020’s of Subaru Telescope will be presented. Subaru will invest a large number of nights for wide field surveys, both photometric and spectroscopic, with new facility instruments such as HSC, PFS and Ultimate-Subaru. These surveys will focus on the nature of dark energy, the distribution of dark matter, the first generation stars and galaxies, galaxy/AGN evolution, and Galactic archaeology. The rare species, discovered by these surveys,at the edge of the universe would be the Subaru’s original targets for extreme large telescopes, such as TMT in 2020’s. Synergy with space missions will briefly discussed.
